Welcome back to my column, my friends. Just a question for all of you, how many are gluttons for punishment? How many of you just love to be disappointed over and over and over again? I’m guessing not many of you, but Microsoft is hoping differently. What do I mean? Read on my friends, read on…

I’m pretty sure most of you remember how well UFC 141 worked on Xbox live… (I can’t even write that with a straight face!) Well according to Microsoft, they’ve decided to try again! That’s right boys and girls, UFC 142 will be free for Xbox Live users. Now, to be fair they do deserve a second chance… but I wouldn’t be holding my breath!

There is also some very bad news in that not everybody will get this free PPV (did ANYBODY get it last time??). Apparently the offer is only limited to the same 30,000 members who registered to watch it the first time. So if you didn’t register last time, you’re out of luck!

Oh yeah, there is one good thing for those 30k members… They will get Xbox Live Gold Membership free for a month. So yeah I guess that’s a good thing… but don’t you wish they’d have given everybody else a chance to sign up this time?

I was one of those unlucky members who signed up last time, so that is a little bit lucky for me, and because of that, my next column will tell you if the app is worth downloading for everybody else.
