This post is here to remind everyone about the tragedy that befell the United States of America on September 11th, 2001. Over 2,996 people lost their lives that day. Horrible moment in time in our countries history. However, the one good thing to happen is our country came together as one for the first time in a long time. I pray we can come together again and push this country in the right direction.

The Day the Lights Almost Went Out

The title of this article sounds like a movie or a good book. I’d probably watch it or read it because of the title if I am honest. I wish it was that. A fictional story that you dive into and when it is done you walk away from. I wish it were the case. Maybe then my life wouldn’t of turned out how it did or the thousands of regrets I have wouldn’t exist. It is a shame we can not go back in time. There is so much I would fix. I would of made the most of life and made so many memories. Sadly, this isn’t so. So I push on and hope the memories I make now make up for the ones I lost back then. With today being World Suicide Prevention Day, I wanted to share my story.

Life loves to throw curveballs. It is an equal opportunist in messing things up. You never know what will happen tomorrow, next week, next year, or 10 years from now. People love to assume that everything will be ok and nothing bad will ever happen to them. If only life was actually like that, that would be lovely. However, life does not work that way. Far too often we find ourselves in situations where money is the main problem. Lacking the financial means to resolve the situation only compounds the issue.

August 2024 Portfolio Update

I came close to hitting last years numbers. The reason for the decline, and this is for my new followers, is because I sold a lot of bad high yield traps from my 1st year investing. I reinvested that money into more quality stocks. Even with the change, I came close to $17 this year. I am happy with this.
